Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a touchscreen instead of TV in your conference room?
Touchscreens allow you to add another layer of collaboration that goes beyond a simple video/audio conference call. Use digital whiteboards to brainstorm as well as to annotate PowerPoint/PDF's etc, making it easier to work together. The touchscreen can be used in a standalone (single) display mode or as a companion to the TV that you might have in the meeting room.
How does TeamTablet Flex work with Microsoft Teams/ Zoom Rooms?

You can plug qualified video conferencing all-in-one bars into TeamTablet Flex to get access to your video conference of choice. Examples: Logitech All-in-one Rally bar, Poly bars etc

How does it help with ad-hoc meetings?
Walk into a room and wirelessly share with the touchscreen to start a meeting. No need to set-up a Teams call on the calendar. Also guests can wirelessly cast without getting access to your network.
Is the home screen configurable?
Yes home screen can be configured by IT. Keep a consistent appearance across all your rooms and meeting spaces.
How does the wireless casting work?
Wireless casting uses standard casting technology like Miracast and Airplay. In addition, TeamTablet Flex adds a layer for wireless touch-back and ink-back. This allows you to share presentations from your laptop and annotate on the touchscreen. This way all data stays on your laptop.
What is an interactive presentation?
The ability to wirelessly cast from your laptop and annotate or mark up your presentation with the touchback and inkback technology in TeamTablet Flex is what is termed an interactive presentation. This helps teams communicate better rather than using a simple pointer.
Why use the FlatFrog Board digital whiteboard instead of Miro or Microsoft Whiteboard?

TeamTablet Flex comes with a built-in digital whiteboard. This whiteboard mimics the convenience of a traditional whiteboard. It is very simple and intuitive to use so that you can brainstorm without having to worry about learning how to use it. Use it with the passive pen that comes with your touch display. The board automatically differentiates between your finger and pen input. Use your fist or finger to erase content as you write. Use the sticky notes and built-in templates for brainstorming.

What if I want to use Microsoft whiteboard or Miro?
You can easily use Microsoft whiteboard or Miro or any other digital whiteboard of your choice. You can do this by simply casting this application from your laptop using our wireless casting. The ink-back and touch-back allows you to mark up and use the whiteboard just as if it was built into the touch display. Best of all your data stays with you and is never stored in the TeamTablet Flex or touchscreen.
What are the main installation options for TeamTablet Flex?

Single Touch display with TeamTablet Flex for small to medium rooms where you only need one main display:

Connect the TeamTablet Flex to the Touch display and AV Video conference bar of your choice. You can also use a PC (e.g. Dell Optiplex) with built in Teams or Teams Room Client.

Companion Touch display with Flex:

For larger rooms or rooms where you already have the video conferencing installed with TV the best option for adding collaboration is to add Touch display as a companion. The Flex and Touch display companion are connected to the TV. This way the video and audio stays on the TV while all the presentations are shared via the Companion touch display and Flex.

Do I need WiFi for screensharing?
Yes, you need a WiFi capable computer, but you do not need a connection to the internet. You can also connect a computer to HDMI/USB and use the meeting window.
What MTR bars are compatible?
TeamTablet Flex is compatible with Microsoft Teams Room certified MTR bars. We have verified compatibility with Logitech and Poly bars.
